WWE Rising Stars

Who are the Rising Stars in the WWE today? Which young stars are going to rise up to the main event level and become the WWE Champion? Who is going to be the next John Cena or  Randy Orton? In theory, they should have already won either the Intercontinental or United States Championships, and possibly been the Tag-Team Champions.

In today's social media a good way to measure a stars popularity is their followers on Twitter. In that regard Zack Ryder is the champion. He has also been the United States Champion.

Wade Barrett was the leader of the Nexus and the Corre, but the only title he has held was the Intercontinental Championship.

Daniel Bryan was the United States Champion and is currently the World Champion after cashing in his the Money In The Bank.

Cody Rhodes is currently the Intercontinental Champion and was the Tag-Team Champions with fellow Legacy member Ted Dibiase.

But perhaps the greatest Rise Star is Dolph Ziggler who was won both the Intercontinental and United States Championships. Dolph was also the Wold Champion. Dolph came close to winning the Tag-Team Championships with fellow Vickie client Jack Swagger.

Jack Swagger should also be included considering he won the United States Championship from Zack Ryder last week and after winning the Money In The Bank, won the World Championship.

Kofi Kingston has held the United States and Intercontinental Championships and was just recently part of Air Boom who held the Tag-Team Championships.

R-Truth has held the United States Championship, but that is the only title he has held.

The Miz already arrived last year. After being part of the greatest Tag-Team in recent history with John Morrision, which one Tag-Team of the year at the Slammy Awards that year. The Miz on his own was drafted to Raw where he held the United States Championship and then went on to win the WWE Championship. The Miz main evented Wrestlemania where he defeated John Cena with the help of The Rock. However, since then The Miz has fallen back down to the mid-card. Will he rise up again?

Sheamus has been unstoppable. He debuted and won the WWE Championship from John Cena. He then went on to win the United States Championship. However, it seems as though his career is going in the opposite direction. Despite his rise in popularity, Sheamus has not held any Championships in the past year. He has never held the World Championship, the Intercontinental Championship, or the Tag-Team Championships. Even though he was the United States Champion at Wrestlemania last year he was not even a part of Wrestlemania. His match with Daniel Bryan was a dark match before the show started. He won the King Of The Ring which usually leads to a huge push but for Sheamus that was not the case. Since winning the King Of The Ring Sheamus has not done much of anything. Is he another star on the way down with The Miz? Or will Sheamus rise up to the main event once again?

Another name that should not be forgotten is Drew McIntyre. Once referred to as Vince McMahon's "Chosen One" who was destined to be a future WWE Champion. As Sheamus was the first Irish Born WWE Champion, Drew would be the first Scottish Born WWE Champion. He was unstoppable after his debut and within 6 months was the Intercontinental Champion. He was on his way to becoming Tag-Team Champions with Cody Rhodes. But then because of issues behind the scenes with his ex-wife WWE Diva Tiffany, Drew was taken off TV and reduced to a 'Jobber' someone who is used to put over other stars by losing to everybody. Now he is back on Smackdown as Teddy Long's Bitch. Every week Teddy sends him out for a match saying that if he loses he will be fired, and each week he loses to nobodies. It's embarrassing. But the question is, will Drew rise back up or is this the end for Drew?
